Juarez Wall

Juarez Wall

A Poem by David

Why don't we build the Juarez Wall

So we can watch it fall again

Maybe we should be more careful

With all of our sins

But I can't take

The Therapy much longer

So, turn out the lights

Sit with me while I sleep

Turn off my dreams

Wake me if I'm weeping

And everybody sing

Why don't we build another Berlin Wall

In our own country

Maybe we should be more careful

When we define what's free

But we can't shake

The foundations much longer

So, go out at night

Destroy them while we're sleeping

Just turn out the lights

When you get home

And we'll build the Juarez Wall

So I'll know

That I can't go home
