A Poem by David

Stars hang from the Tree of Storms

The Crow cackles as the Eye still searches

Try as you might

even tri-fold might

couldn't give this world more scars

The Seeds of Anarchy were planted

     long ago

Flowering,

     they grow

so everyone can know

And the Heart remains hidden from the Eye

God is in the air tonight

The Devil laughs while we still search

If I could tell

my miserable tale

you'd see that God is a broad

He laughs,

He cries,

He screams,

He tries,

and sometimes He even lies

Many dark nights

filled with dark knights

have called on His name to strike

fear

If we bothered to look

or read His great Book

we'd realize He's never been

here

He's me,

He's you,

He's that one chosen Jew

He's the brain of a world

This brings to mind the Second Coming, and how I believe (and it seems you do too) that it cannot be waited upon. It is not supposed to be something separate from us that happens to the passive and awaiting. It is a discovery and a radical transformation that must happen to each and every one of us.

God can truly be anything--even in evil is he present.

The Heart remains hidden from the Eye--that rings so true. I interpret it as emotions working separately from our intelligence, a symptom of our desire to cling tightly to our egos. Much in the same way we want to sulk when we are on a foul mood and make it all about ME, or how we become so me-centric when we are feeling a strong emotion. As long as we hold into that ego, as long as we fail to see that we are part of something much greater, we will fail to see.

Or I could be totally wrong.
