Mr. Death

Mr. Death

A Poem by David

Please, Mr. Death, can you
spare me my life / Just
this time, give me a
chance, I want to start
a new life / So, please
hold me, hold me 'til
my disease creeps into
your bones / Death has
a mysterious way of
thinking / He keeps me
alive while he keeps
you thinking
-                                 -
Get up, get
down, get in the ground /
Spread your wings, make
up for my sounds / Sounds
of fear in the hollow
winds / I can't get up,
get down, get in
-                                 -
Love, Mr. Death, can you
just help me out / Why
can't you be Cupid /
Why are you taking me
down / So, please heal
me, take my disease
'til it creeps into your
soul / Death is a
mysterious being / He
can spare your life but
there is no springtime
-                                 -
Get up, get
down, get in the ground /
Spread your wings, make
up for my sounds / Sounds
of fear in the hollow
winds / I can't get up,
get down, get in
-                                 -
You, Mr. Death, are my
new best friend / You
scattered my ashes,
sent them to the four
winds / So, please help
me, show my disease
to the world / Death
brings a mysterious
feeling / Morbid love,
and a time for healing
-                                 -
Death comes...
not even the young can hide
... for everyone / He
comes... we'll soon all
be by his side... for
everyone
