Sting of YouthA Poem by HobiLooking through old pictures made me... nostalgic
in those days our hearts burned like the sky; uncontrollably, vibrantly, hopelessly infatuated with a passion that can only be described as youth.
it happened and then it didn’t. a state of mind is all it is. i have nothing left to give so i surrender helplessly to my fears, my apathy my never ending thoughts that all end in “only if” a scared child is all it is. a small light amidst an abyss. in your heart you feel her screaming and pleading and tearing you apart. happy moments did suffice a moment where you felt the love and then the hateful sting of ice it’s not your fault i swear somethings just wrong in there a screw is loose an untied noose slipknot subconscious you’ve failed again youth like nausea, sailed by fear ever fleeting, ever clear. your youth was stolen. i’m begging you, take mine. unlike youth, death takes her time © 2019 HobiFeatured Review
