I hit the bottom

I hit the bottom

A Poem by Harrisen Viator

I hit the bottom
every time I stand up.
I feel like I'm just droppin,
all the balls my hands touch.
Life ain't even helping
like a man's crutch.
I'm just fallin' to earth
like my chutes jammed up.
I gotta climb a mountain
no ropes and no stairs.
Every time I slip I get up
when no one else cares.
Fightin' through the dark
no lights and no flares.
Broke like the stock market
with no shares.
Dragged down like a fisherman
with his biggest catch.
Swimmin' to the surface
from the bottom no breath.
Sleepin' through this life
like my dreams are of death.
I got all the luck on
my side with no bet.
breakin' outta hell, but
it's locked with no key.
No rope around my neck,
but I'm still choking.
The flames are getting closer
and the oil's soaked me.
My death'll end up
being sleep with no dreams.
I want to rise up
to get over the doubt.
Whenever I try love,
I'm left without.
Then I try to light up,
but my light goes out.
Hate thinking life sucks,
but it does like a drought.
