Today

Short poem to start off the day :)

It's such a dreary day,

but one thing is for sure

I can't help but smile,

being alive is so hardcore.

Although it's cold and rainy,

I'm comfy and warm inside,

both within my dorm and

where my thoughts reside.

I like how this poem focuses on the here and now. Not the past, not the future. But todaY. Which kind of makes sense why it's called Today. (Duh Delaney) But what I mostly like is that it's a very deep and wise concept, without much drag to it. It shows wisdom, in a contemporary way- which is a very delicate thing to master, for if done wrongly it can make someone seem like, lack for a better word, an idiot. This does not make you sound like an idiot, so props to you!
