The whiner

The whiner

A Poem by Herman Martin
"

a so called badass cop becomes annoying

"
I hear you everyday
speaking of your skills
I hear about when you were a cop
How you were undercover
How you wrestled those gangs
How you were the teacher
of all those fighting techniques
It was 27 years you said
You won awards for your bravery
and retired with honors
Why don't I believe you
You bumped your knee on the seat
when you got into my car
You yelled and screamed at the pain
Then you cried she made you sit back there
You yell at your wife
You call her names
and if she wants it to stop
You cry if she slaps you
You say you will call the police
You whine over every tiny bump
You hurt you wrist at work
Hearing you talk about it
would think you were being tortured
You say they are against you at work
You were demoted because you didn't get along
You use the same excuse every time
You did nothing wrong
Everyone is against you
When you tried to choke the life
out of your wife
She  was the one who called the police
You said you did nothing
It was all her fault
She would not cook your favorite food
You had the right to be upset
The police laughed in your face
As they put you in the squad car
Then you started telling them
they had to let you go
because you were a 27 year retired cop
You still went to jail
Then your wife became the stupid one
She let you come home
And it continues
