Have You Ever...?A Poem by Herman Martingentle prose about feelingsHave you ever…? Have you ever Lain in the cool grass of the morning Letting the dew touch your skin And the smells of the air relieve your pains and worries Have you ever Looked at a new painting Gazing at each color and tone Feeling as if you were inside Looking out Have you ever Watched the waves of the ocean And as you listen to the sounds And smell the salted air You realize you are swaying With each wave Have you ever Touched the cheek Of a beautiful woman Or wiped a tear from her eye Or ran your fingers through her hair Or gently kissed her lips If not Then you have never lived. © 2012 Herman Martin |
