PrefaceA Chapter by H.Ynot sure if i should even include this, it'll good to have a understanding of the world before hand, but it kind of gives away from the story. hmm, right now im leaning on not putting this in.
Two hundred years had passed since the end and the beginning. The universe had chosen a time to purge the plague it saw as humanity. Through countless acts of natural disasters it was able to bring the staggering population of 12 billion down to a dwindling 1 million. Earthquakes, tsunamis, hurricanes and every other imaginable natural disaster swiftly brought mankind to its knees. Spread about the world, those who were lucky enough to survive picked themselves up and started over again. They unified for a time and cultivated land, endured disease and famine until many new civilizations were formed. They all desired peace, but almost as though it were written in their blood, they began to war with one another. Because of their clashing ideals an era of endless war began from the rubbles and ashes of a past they had forgotten. For 50 years war was endless. To end the unending battles an organization known as CONTROL would take the world and through absolute might quell the thirst for war. The organizations origins were shrouded in mystery. No facts were ever proven but countless stories would be told and rumors passed on, until CONTROL became the epiphany of power. They were an enemy and friend of everyone, any country who began conflict that would lead to war would be vanquished over night, fading into the forgotten history of man. Through fear and might they established lasting peace. Though they themselves did not interfere in political matters, their presence was enough to deter any form of tyranny. That was 150 years ago. © 2009 H.Y |
