Legacy?

Legacy?

A Poem by H.L. Cerveise

Legacy?

My words are poured out upon the ground.

The lines jumble across the rocks.

Phrases are scattered like ashes in the wind.

The pages crumble like crushed dry bones.

A legacy lost in the ravages of time.

I believe our legacy lies in the people's lives we affect and the way that in turn affects others lives. i.e. The way you have affected my life will change the way I affect others because you have influenced my thought process for the better. In a sense, our legacies will never burn out because human interaction will never stop. Even if no one sees our poetry ever again, it has already made a much bigger impact on this world than we may ever realize. I love the imagery in this though. It truly is powerful and thought-provoking.
