I miss you like the Moon misses the Sun

When Earth casts its shadow upon me

I can no longer see your lovely shining face

A blood Moon I become

Shivering in the cold void

You are hidden but not gone

Blood Moons (I believe there's one more name they're called but I can't remember) are probably the only celestial phenomenon I care to go out of my way to watch -- mainly because of how different they look in comparison to the standard bluish white image we typically picture moons as.

I think you might have added an extra "n" to "shining".

The metaphor using the blood moon really sparks a contrasting tone and provides an interesting turning point in your poem...I'm still trying to find the right words to interpret this transformation myself, but I'm curious in how you characterize this shift in character with the metaphor.

Thank you for reading and reviewing this writing. Yes, I did have an extra n, thank you for noticing. It's now fixed. I feel the cosmos is tied together at a sentient level so it is easy to shift back and forth between energy waves within it.
