The Stars Series: Variable

The Stars Series: Variable

A Poem by H.L. Cerveise

The Stars Series: Variable

Now speaking of variable stars

Not fake ones but real intrinsic ones

They swell and shrink

They pulsate

Some do this regularly

Some sporadically

They appear so much brighter for a while

A layer of ionization becomes less opaque

Thus allowing us to see their true brightness

Does this make them better

Or maybe worse

Then normal stable stars

No just different

No better

No worse

They just know they

Are something that is a little odd

Wondering

is it best to be normal
odd
or unpredictable

just look up at the stars and you see beauty for what it is

almost impossible to define

I love this poem
It makes one look at the outer universe and I know you are writing about the absolute within us.
