Dragonflies in Amber


Oh poor dragonfly caught in love's eternal circle.

You have locked her in your unending embrace.

All her past encounters, you scrape away.

You assure the birth of your progeny.


Now alas both encased at the moment of inception.

The sticky substance now hardens.

You find you are frozen for three hundred million years.

However, this is only the beginning of your eternity.

Something about love
Stuck for an eternity or just a day
We could never tell
The concept of time is lost
In a lover's mind
Like nature .... uncaring for time
Only preserving beauty

Dragonflies are not monogamous. The male dragon fly has a process of making sure only his offspring .. read more
