You have locked her in your unending embrace.

All her past encounters, you scrape away.

You assure the birth of your progeny.

Now alas both encased at the moment of inception.

The sticky substance now hardens.

You find you are frozen for three hundred million years.

However, this is only the beginning of your eternity.

Dragonflies are not monogamous. The male dragon fly has a process of making sure only his offspring are what the female has. So it is the last male dragonfly that passes on his genes.
