I don't think I have ever read such a powerful haiku... normally I'm not such a fan of haikus because they end too quickly and can't develop something enough but dang, the last line hit me and I have no answer. I wish that I could laugh like I used to, but at some point we do lose that innocence and there is no going back. I like the second haiku on this page though, very clever ;)

Of course as you saw, I just had to say more and did it as a haiku in the author's note. I am so glad you liked it.
Nice and simple. I enjoyed it. I love hearing a child's laughter; it's just the sweetest thing ever to see a kid happy. Great work.
