He says hidden behind a bat-like cowl.
“What does it mean when one awakes from a dream”
“Only to realize one dreamed of waking from a dream”
“One in which he was a fictional character”
“Which was based on an avatar”
“Which was formed from a real person”
“While beside him was yet another fictional character”
“Who was based on an avatar”
“That was also formed from a real person”
“All written down under a pseudonym of a pseudonym”
“Each layer separate yet merged”
“Feeling the same deep feelings for each layer”
“As one does for what is perceived as reality”

For who can see the real, can certainly wake up from the dream, knowing that it was just a dream.
This poem reminds me on the the movie "Inception" by Christopher Nolan.
