The Game of Peace

The Game of Peace

A Poem by HiLLz
"

Just a fun little rhymer i wrote over the summer of 2010...it's based off of a poem by Shel Silverstein called Hug O' War. Hope ya'll enjoy it!!

"

Have you ever played a game of Peace?

For it's surely the game that's known the least.

There are no "its" and there are no outs,

And nobody fights, or shouts, or pouts.

There are only winners and nobody cries;

There are no cheaters and nobody lies.

You'll hear no "go aways" or "you can't plays."

Everyone's invited and everyone stays.

But what are the rules, you might wish to know;

Any cards to deal? Any balls to throw?

The requirements are few: just adults, girls, and boys.

Bring friends, bring family, bring all your favorite toys.

No matter where played, the end result is worthwhile:

Maybe a laugh, or a hug, but always a smile!

When I started reading it I immediately thought of "Hug o' War" and then saw your description :) Nice job!
