An emotional bond

It was not love,

nor a self-inflicted

infatuation.

It was an emotional

bond,

much stronger

than those ordinary

definitions…

A bond

he could neither

fathom

nor was he

conscious yet

to its hold

on his mind.

Emotional bond isn't a conscious affection neither is it a lust or whatever.
It is just a feeling you can't just explain.
