THE UNVEILING

Synopsis

"The unveiling" is an anthology of short stories that I have written since 1986 up to 2012. Most of my short stories assembled in this anthology deal with the world of art in my country " Israel. The protagonists depicted in these short stories are artists, museum curators, gallery owners and art critics, their daily life and contribution to art and to the society in which they live, their feuds and rivalry along their careers. Stories of fantasy, dreams, thrillers and stories of general daily life are added to this anthology.

The short stories and poems assembled in this anthology, express my views on art in my country, and are based on my own life experience, my whims, my dreams, my fantasies and my aspirations.

There are thirty nine short stories and eleven poems assembled in this anthology.

Here's a glimpse for your examination and judgment:

The Phoenix

It's up to you~

to rise like a Phoenix,

from the sand~

~or stay there

in utter seclusion...~

Soar for God's sake!

To the heights~

that only you can reach.

The Lioness
I had another dream. I can't remember much just bits and fragments. I was in some eastern part of the world, in a city with low houses and flooded streets. I waded in knee deep placid waters, and entered a four floors' building.
There were nine stairs one foot size each, one foot wide - divided by a murmuring waterfall; each staircase half leaned on both sides of the languid waterfall, adhered to the wall.
We ascended up to the dry roof, the two of us. I thought you were beside me, I was certain - I touched you to make sure. We walked to the edge of the roof, to have a look down. I turned around and realized that I was all alone there.
I was on dry ground again in a forest clearing, watching a lioness sprawled on a bed of dry leaves - not far off. She welcomed me rising on her hind legs, and resting her paws gently on my chest. I wasn't scared, I didn't mind her sharp claws stuck in my flesh. She smiled exposing her fangs, she licked my face, and I could feel her fangs touching my shoulder - love bites.
I woke up distressed, it ended up so soon - it was still dark outside.
I knew I'll have to face the coming daylight hours and yearn for night to fall, and meet her again in my dream, my lioness

Between the 4h and the 14th

The days pass~

~like clouds,

swept in the wind.

~I hardly bade

June goodbye

~So sweet

and so consoling,

~compared to

hot tempered July,

~while August

knocks on my door.
