A Two Edged Sword

An excerpt

At the end of the prayer as soon as they rose from the floor, the Chechen led the way back to the desk.

'Well dear brother,' he turned to al-Rimali what's your wise advice we're aware to wisdom and vast experience.' He had to honor al-Rimali and give an equal part in Mosul's defense control. He was Mosul's chief after all just a week ago, before the Chechen and his men arrival.

'We're going to be between the hammer and the anvil.' Mosul ex chief and the Chechen's current deputy opened up with a series of coughs.

'The anvil are the Kurds in the east who're still preparing their ground offensive, while the hammer is the Iraqi army with the massive American air support at our west; and I believe that they'll want to take advantage of their success of capturing Fallujah. They're a huge force they'll leave some unites behind to crush the last pockets of brave warriors' resistance, but their main force will move north parallel to the Syrian border to attack us from our western side.'

'That's a very accurate estimation al-Rimali, and we'll have to prepare ourselves to their assault. Apart from the mortars positions in both fronts, and the missiles ready to be launched to either front from the town's center; we've to prepare crews of warriors that will pull citizens from their homes, and be ready to force them to move towards each front according to developments and needs; and these groups of several hundred civilians of full families, will be moved to the fronts as our human shield; which will separate our warriors and the enemy, while our warriors will push the civilians towards the enemy, and when the civilians will abosorb the enemy fire and collapse, our brave warrior will assault the dumbfounded enemy.'

'You've all heard what our commander al-Shishani has just said, you'll divide into two groups; our commander's staff members will orgnize the crews for the western front, while you members of my staff members will organize the crews for the eastern front.'

When the two saffs' members left al-Rimali called his secretary, and ordered him to fetch them a pot of fresh coffee and cups.

'We're going to face a double fronts campaign, just like the one on Manbij of the combined free Syrian Army from the Turkish border, and the Syrian regime army from the south not far from Aleppo.'

'Yes it might happen dear al-Rimali, and I think that we should counter attack on both fronts; before they'll be ready to attack us, that should be our strategy.'
