A short excerpt of the thriller:

"An irretrievable step"

There were three Brits and two French correspondents at the bar when they entered. Bianca's young lovely features attracted their attention, and they were very eager to know her; they left their seats and came to introduce themselves and start a conversation. Bianca very wisely answered with 'non capisco cosa dicono amore mio?' (I don't understand what they are saying my loved one?) and thus Ray had to translate to her whatever was said. The five middle-aged men that left behind them the bar stools invited them to sit on a circular couch near a corner table, drinks were ordered and a lively conversation was struck.

These men that introduced themselves by their first names represented newspapers like 'The Times', 'Le Monde', 'The Financial Times, 'The Sun and Le Figaro were a fountain of news, while Ray did not dare to tell them that he and Bianca represent Florence local paper 'Le Nazione'; he introduced himself as the representative of the Canadian Coptic community, and told them of his task to prepare a survey of the right site for building a Coptic Church in Jerusalem. With the war over Ray's story was an item they could use, besides sitting next to beautiful Bianca and enjoying her company and her lovely smiles.
