Look what you've done

Look what you've done

A Poem by hjcm

Hearing your name on the lips of a stranger

who didn’t know you, hadn’t felt the touch

of your tongue, unravelled a large section of

her embroidery; delicate and spidery, the piano

unfurled a tinkling chord, levelled my rocky

path, and surprised me with its simplicity. It

doesn’t have to be complicated. It can just be:

a circle in your palm, tracing the veins in your arm,

looking into the blue-green depths of your eyes,

and stumbling on the flat ground.

Beautiful imagery. This piece makes my brain explode in a million different directions at once. Very nicely done. ^.^
