A kiss

A kiss

A Poem by hjcm

A kiss

renders all words spoken before

foolish. It is infallible:

a new world with new rules and new

tastes. It extinguishes

the meaningfulness of language,

for as communication it exceeds all.

A kiss

can be planted

anywhere

and can germinate into so many seedlings of possibility.

It is what you give me if I am deserving,

and what I wish

to lavish

upon you for even the humblest of gifts.
