Clutter

Clutter

A Poem by hjcm

You don’t quite

fit,

wrecking the homeostasis of number 24,

with your surplus of matter

and jarring positive outlook.

Already a wave

benumbs your face, that

cynicism and negativity

exiling you from the confines of here

and out into the cold

or the dark upstairs.

The water tastes wrong

and clutter lies on every surface.

Ah, yes, I have had these moments.
You have done an incredible job of describing the feeling so the reader can also feel it.
