Angor

Angor

A Poem by hjcm

Fences are made to encircle, protect,
defend: privacy; possessions out of sight.
Tonight; last night; tomorrow night;
the glass of the cafetière.
Mug: you hold the warm brown coffee
safe inside yourself (a ceramic blanket).
I am kitchen cupboards. I am leaves of stories bound into books.
I am a swaddled infant waiting for love.
