That day on Virginia beach

It started out perfect

Warm sand and sun

Beautiful waves

Boardwalk stretching for miles

We played in th sand

And splashed in the waves

When the day was done

We sat and watched the sunset

And held hands forever

The as we were leaving

You kissed me sweetly

And we left with the sunset on our backs

This is a delightful piece of writing. You might want to read it through again to check the 3rd from bottom line. I think you missed an 'n' out :). The ending was a delightful surprise as I was expecting something awful to happen but it was the opposite! You cleverly deceived me with your opening line! nice work.
