Hollowed eyes

Under starry skies

They work through tears and pain

Their masters enjoying the cruelty game

Thay had a soul

It was quickly sold

Families torn apart

A new life they are dreading to start

All in a dream

I felt their cold it seems

I woke shivering in my bed

My stomach reeling like it hadn't been fed

My feet and back sore

My clothes I had torn

I had been there for sure

The only reason I knew I was back

Was my cats warm purr

Wow, this was a very emotional chapter! it had me on the edge of my seat... I felt like I was being chased by the evil you mentioned. Was that what you wanted your reader to fell... Then to wake up knowing you had been their yet being secure and snuggled up with your beloved pet. A waking dream so real, it affects you outside the dream, yet still only a dream.... Excellent work and a favorite for my library!!!!
