My rant

My rant

A Poem by Call Me Blu

They are the apparent angels of the family

Last time I checked angels don't pull your hair

Or bite and punch until your black and blue

Then stare up at your mom

And you can already tell your in big trouble

"Your the older one!"

Screw that

I'm not going to sit there and let him beat me up

Next day I have bruises on my arms

And my head aches from all of the hair pulled

My friends look knowingly

They all have younger siblings

We are always the ones who get screwed

The ones who aren't allowed to cry

The ones who have to be strong

Screw that

Younger brothers and there siblings should be seperated

By age 8

It would save alot of bandaids

And stress

They always get the most "love"

Even if we are supposedly "equal"

I don't see him getting yelled at

Whenever he doesn't do a single math question

No, he gets patient explanation

I get a f*****g lecture

Whenever I don't get anythin I get stares

That clearly say, "how the hell are you so stupid"

And of course there HE is holding out a tissue

And my parents stare at him

And practically fall all over him

Then I have to give him a hug

And return to being yelled at

You think by now they would have figured out

That when I stare at the paper

The numbers and letters mix

Until it looks like some sort of code

Not for English

Nope, just the one thing in my life my parents care about

F*****g math

Why can't I be as good at math

As I am with words

Why can't the numbers stay straight

Of course I have learned not to complain

Whenever my brothersneezes

It's a national emergency

Luckily my math teacher gets it

He actually helps

Understands when I bring in half finished homework

Doesn't even blink when I don't get something

Same with my one friend

We both have the same problem

Sometimes we stay after or come for lunch

Well, used to

Now she goes for extra credit with two other b*****s

But lets not get into that

So in conclusion

I've been screwed since the start

I was the younger sibling. but I can relate to this bit

The numbers and letters mix
Until it looks like some sort of code
Not for English

I suffered fron dyslexia and the above descibes what happened when I tried to read. I believe Dysnumia is similar but less well known.

Try using translucent coloured film to see if any particular colour stops it happening. Try primary colours first then mixes of two colours like green or orange. It may be that you get silght improvement with say blue and yellow and then much better with green.
