Under the apple treeA Poem by Call Me BluA poem about the kind of love between two people that forms a bond that doesn't involve anything beyond being friends.Sitting under the apple tree There sits a boy of young With a girl by his side They play by a river Holding hands as innocently As new cotton sheets in the wind At only a tender age They know not of what love they have They know only what they do know With bated breath sits cupid His bow at ready loaded with arrows As the two grow into eachothers hearts Nothing shared between their lips except words No pressure for love Only the purity of a bond Born from innocence under the apple tree They need not know what love may be They no only what their love is Both find another with whom to share their lives Yet to eachother stay true A friendship of the strongest bond Fashioned under the apple tree With a river to was away sins Not yet commited They wish not to be in love with eachother But only to be close Friends truer than true No jealousy to be sprung Under the apple tree
