Twenty Years of Valentines Days

Twenty Years of Valentines Days

A Poem by his better half

For twenty years you have been my valentine
And this year I have asked you to be mine again
Love is in the air
You can look around and see it every where

We are so lucky, you and I
So many couples do not make it 20 twenty years
But we have, and our love is so strong
We have shared laughter
Been together through the tears

The world has tried to come between us
But we have clung to each other tight
When darkness tried to come between us
We fought back with love and light

We do not need roses or chocolate
We don’t need a diamond ring
Because we have each other
And together…our love can over come anything

It’s easy to stay in love with you
Because to me, you are my soul mate
You will always have my heart
And to me…that is more than wonderful…it’s great
