heavy

head

feet dragging 

lagging time

slower

as the heavy leaden

hand

fingers squeeze 

around my heart

heavy

squeezing 

pulpy

leaden 

juices squishing 

out

spilling oozing

gushing

entrails of my heart

pressed against 

the smaller 

smaller walls of

chest and blood and bone

constricting further 

urgent fervor

beating

rapid rapid rapid

til the juices gone

meat upon

the fingers 

cruel fingers

squeezing though there’s nothing left

just enjoying drying heaves

bereft of sound bereft of silence

just the ringing roar of wrangling 

relentless what ifs
