The end of adolescence

The end of adolescence

A Poem by Thomas Hews
"

Written last year whilst at university in Leicester. It was possibly one of the lowest moments of my life

"

I’m here, but am I really here?
The things that are required I fear
I want to leave, to get away
But what will all the others say?
He was a mess, he never learned
What a surprise, their opinions turned
I hate this place, I’m all alone
Supposed to be out, All friends are gone
It’s not like before
It’ll never be the same
Ever
Time to grow up
