Time

Time

A Poem by Thomas Hews

Time does heal the deepest wound
The slightest cut is all but cured
But time cant help me anymore
It is approaching with envy and strength and aggression
And I can feel it clawing away at my soul

Time is a monster, it lurks all around though
You never can see it until it's too late
It slips through your fingers as you're trying to grasp it
And jumps out from shadows when you're trying to hide

Time cant be killed, it's absurd to believe this
It keeps on and on at you til you're all gone
You're less than a person, a memory of someone
Who lost in the long run, fell victim to Time
