Subliminal Messaging

Subliminal Messaging

A Poem by Thomas Hews

Moments lost,
Time remains.
Brain waves freeze,
I feel drained.
Leave me here,
With disfigured toys.
I have changed,
This psychedelic noise.
Controls, contracts,
Destroys, retracts.
It stops, I dream.
Feeling drained, I start to crack.

Claiming time,
As my own.
It slips away,
I'm all alone.
Possessions,
Obsessions.
At the viewers discretion.
Owning,
Moaning,
Their rights slip away.

Subliminal mind f**k,
It’s there and you can’t stop.
You need it,
You feed it,
They own you,
Control you.
You break free,
It leaves you.
The leech that inside grew.
You fall out,
And realise,
That you really fear life.
But life was, and life is,
A meaningless cycle.
It owned you,
You broke through.
The cycle now repeats.

You want it,
You need it.
You’ll see it,
You’ll steal it,
One more life is wasted.
A fucked up addiction,
To life and the system,
There’s no escaping,
Subliminal messaging
