B.L.I.N.D- Believing Lies In Nature's DeceptionA Poem by Nader!!My sanity in a fucked up world. We live in this beautiful world Filled of ugly things, Filled of anger and hatred, Filled of blood and gore, Filled of evil and war. Some live with the indecesion To go on with misery or end it. To continue living in this horrible make-shift world Or to hope that death can save them.
We look to the tragedy of the foster child In the care of an abuser. The alcohol pours down through his being, Left to see blur, Blur was the child he started beating. The foster child left on the bathroom floor, Crying tears that burn his hope out of its light, Bloody and destroyed, giving up his will to fight. He finds himself asking... "Is it worth it to go on, or should I end it?"
We look to the diminishing spirit of a drug addict. Staring in the mirror with his blood shot eyes. Disappointed with what life has become. Living on the edge, almost dead. Not knowing if he can take another step And end this life mess. He finds himself asking... "Is it worth it to go on, or should I end it?"
We look to the sorrowful broken prostitute Trying to forget her awful memories. Memories of her childhood with her drunken mother And absent father. A gent pulls up, She stares into the dirty man's face, Wishing she had the courage to drive a blade into her heart And end it before it starts. She finds herself asking... "Is it worth it to go on, or should I end it?"
We look to the helpless little girl Crying in the corner Praying and wishing for someone to save her Mother has no knowledge of the horror in her daughter's bedroom The little girl told mother of how every night he sneaks in And steals a little more of her innocence Mother refuses to believe her "wonderful" boyfriend would do this I suppose ignorance truly is bliss. 3 AM she lies there awake He left her room, he's touched her... Weeping quietly, sinking in that horrifying, disgusting bed She finds herself asking... "Is it worth it to go on, or should I end it?"
We look to the beautiful starlet Trying to make her dream come true But everyone keeps telling her she's not fit She must be skinny, she must have THE LOOK! She stands in the bathroom stall injecting the heroin in her vein For a split second she felt completely sane. Her heads spinning Throwing up, trying to stay skinny She passes out, waking up to her skelital figure Staring into the emptiness that she is She finds herself asking... "Is it worth it to go on, or should I end it?"
We look to the pale face of a uniquely beautiful girl She wasn't like the rest of the girls in her school So its alright that they made her feel like a fool They teased and taunted that beautiful girl They said she was ugly and wasn't fit for the world. Her bestfriend was always there for her But this time he was a minute too late He stands over her bloody corpse He didn't even tell her, he truly loved her The police have narrowed down to the pain killers and the butcher knife. They've reported she took her own life. She left behind this ugly world With a note next to the pistol aimed at her head That read... "Is it worth it to go on, or should I end it? ...I can't go on living in this horrible world Tonight I will end it." © 2008 Nader!! |
