The Journey

The Journey

A Poem by Himanshu Malhotra
"

It's a journey of every common man. Of what he desires and what he needs.

"
Strolling unknowingly in the sands of time,
A nomad desires for his steps to rhyme.
He knows no merriment, neither any bliss,
In search for abode, his home he miss.
Respite being a luxury he can’t afford,
He did anticipate when he took the road.
But leading to triumph, as they say
Is not a path made out of the “easy way”!
Friends and foes march with him,
But as the distance goes, their footsteps faint within.
An urge to mingle again, enthuse him to go on,
Striding ahead, a new hope is born.
The journey will conclude at the finale,
Battling it out in the life’s alley,
An oasis of water is what he wishes at the Bay,
When just a drop can make him stay.
