For one heartbeatA Poem by himal
Timid heart, eyes full of tears,
Brought me to the place we had built, Broken windows, shattered hard, As the wind blew hard and fierce. Fields had dried, crops were dead, Not a single heartbeat I could listen. Neither a single bird had flew, Singing sweetly in the english rhythm. I opened my eyes harder But failed for a single heartbeat I wish to listen. Silently i mourned, And Closed my eyes. I saw us walking in the green fields, laughing and singing the 80's rhythm Falling over hands in hand, Million heart beats I could listen again. © 2013 himal |
