Dancing In the Rain

Dancing In the Rain

A Poem by A.A.Romanczuk

Hair loose meeting the small of my back

Eyes capture the twinkle of stars

Sleeping wrapped in clouds

The firmament wrenches sorrow

Out of its soul

Shoes become insignificant, cast off to the side

I release my inner child, dance across the sidewalk

Primal laughter canters across the night

Little bare feet with every puddle meet

Splish, splash goes the water

I hear the song within myself connecting to the universe

I twist and pirouette across the grass

Raising hands towards the heavens

Accepting the rain, soaking it in
