Behind The ScenesA Poem by A.A.RomanczukSilence and I exchange silent thoughts Tea pulls apart the nervous knots Engaging my own daydreaming thoughts Were these sacrificial sheep for my enjoyment plucked By a porcelain Chinese doll With broken feet Or by a sparkling Devi Lakshmi Disguised as a tired, willowy farmer's daughter Tormented by her never to be fulfilled glass dreams Wherever her sunbaked feet stepped Did the leaves unfurl And spring into baskets of their own accord Was it a youth with a mona lisa smile Who cast the seed step by step and mile by mile And she couldn't fathom why he smiled What stories could the tea leaves tell? Whose tears made made them grow? Sipping thoughtfully, thoroughly absent I decide Some secrets are better left untold That my own conjectures may in phases unfold © 2011 A.A.RomanczukFeatured Review
