Behind The Scenes

Behind The Scenes

A Poem by A.A.Romanczuk

Silence and I exchange silent thoughts

Tea pulls apart the nervous knots

Engaging my own daydreaming thoughts

Were these sacrificial sheep for my enjoyment plucked

By  a porcelain Chinese doll

With broken feet

Or by a sparkling Devi Lakshmi

Disguised as a tired, willowy farmer's daughter

Tormented by her never to be fulfilled glass dreams

Wherever her sunbaked feet stepped

Did the leaves unfurl

And spring into baskets of their own accord

Was it a youth with a mona lisa smile

Who cast the seed step by step and mile by mile

And she couldn't fathom why he smiled

What stories could the tea leaves tell?

Whose tears made made them grow?

Sipping thoughtfully, thoroughly absent

I decide

Some secrets are better left untold

That my own conjectures may in phases unfold

A A needs som emore tea. Seems like its magic.

Not only visually stimulating but a thousand stories told in this massive thing. The allusions to another heritage keeps the mystery up and make for an interesting research topic.
The pain of planting friggin tea leaves has never been this heavy.
makes me want to stop drinking it and save it like gold.
