Separation

Separation

A Poem by A.A.Romanczuk

I wrap myself in shimmering sari silk

Woven of pain infused threads

I float on the breath of

A slow, trembling polonaise

On my knees in penance

I engrave his name

Onto the surface of the dying Earth

As She is covered by tears

Pure, frozen, and white

Tea leaves steeping in a pot

Bleed profusely

Aromatic chai

I dip my paintbrush

In the blood

And depict stories on the

Matte winter sky

My lonely canvas

Upon which gentle doves fly

This thing belonds etched on a heard stone for lonlely memories and tea boxes everywhere.
What happend when you mix some hallmark, with serrated swords and a kiss of winter?
The Work of A.A. Romanczuk

The theme of pain jumped out right from the beginning in pain infused threads and carries wonderfully through the dark images of winter, a matte finish, and the bloody paintbrush.

Brilliant

ohh how poetic ,word for word..the meanings though melancholy as it should..
i like how you connect one thought to the other ,typical of your style
chai blleding into boiling water as i dip my brush into blood ,the only thing i see
and use the blue sky as my canvas..while the doves of my loneliness fly
what lovely images and sad thoughts..i kneel to earth and write your name..in vain
lovely write..
