It's A Bug's World

It's A Bug's World

A Poem by A.A.Romanczuk

Gentle earthworms poke their heads through the earth

Ants cease to hurry

Their harvest lies safe within the colony

I watch a millipede scurry

His antennae all a flurry

An iridescent beetle hums

As he steps on sleeping iridescent shells

The ladybug counts her spots

As a cockroach sighs over the pretty dots

Sir Moth begs Madame Butterfly

For but one sarabande

He will not triumph today

For the cunning spinner has spun his web

In which both shall succumb to decay

A wonderful view of insect life and the predator that waits...I have a weak spot for the insect world, you have made me smile.

This was fantastic! A great walk of woven word with the bugs that people interact with the most! It's flow was smooth and the images caressed the mind nicely.

Great Ink!
