Book Addict

A Poem by A.A.Romanczuk

I know not wherefore

These many books

I borrow

I have not the time

To read them all

Nor the strength to

Carry them

But I will

Drag

Myself

Home

You stare at me

As if I were

An anomaly

I cannot resist them

I pry open

Yellowed pages

And inhale wisdom

My fingers

Longing

Run

Over the imperfectly

Creased bindings

As if they were

A lover's cheek

I burn to drink of them

To be twisted and shaken

By gorgeous words

I shall not sleep

But read

I shall

I am

A self-reported

Book Addict

Oh you are an anomaly..many have i seen like that
they dont look that good..they dont seem to fit as so
still they differ in a wonderful way..i see a light coming through
i ve never seen before..times i knew where it came before
these words emits such light,it go way beyond
it infects the mind, distort it upside down
then reshape it again so different
you would just love to see what..
what strange and lovely anomaly it came to be
