I Will Wait

I Will Wait

A Poem by A.A.Romanczuk

You wept as you told me

Of your feelings

Causing me to nearly weep myself

You spoke of others

Who would take your place

I have considered others

As you asked

I am repulsed

By the thought

Today is not our time

Perhaps in a series of tomorrows

Our time will come

I will wait

Even if it should be

Five Years

Ten Years

Fifty Years

You and I have met

In many lives past

And always have you brought

My soul back on the right path

Do not distress yourself with

Thoughts of others

My heart is and always was

Irrevocably

Yours

this love - this is the deepest red - and the deepest love - its not easy - because its so real - its so present and so consuming - its not a love tainted by the hue of roses - its a love colored with the shades of living a love - of the tough times and the rough edges - this - you're right - is the best kind of love - the kind of love that doesn't come easy - the kind of love that deepens - exponentially - with every day and the dark nights - this is the love - that burns bright - when all else - ceases to be!

:)Thank You, Blues :) Sometimes I think it is..sometimes I think it isn't...I see both sides of the argument :) Either way it is in the best of ways. I also always imagined it to be this way...but was skeptical that in the world in which we live in..such a thing could be possible...fortunately,I was proven wrong :)
Well said, Jeff :) Thank You :)
:) Thank You, Alan....You know not how greatly You compliment me in saying so...I am honored..deeply honored...thank You...

i sense you have an old soul...it is almost as if you have personified love itself and are speaking directly to its heart...your voice is soft yet owns a power to which one cannot help but listen...it is assured here...resolved and resigned...this does not reflect the heartstring pull of teenage dramatics...this is a delicate poem...refreshing in outlook....memorable in its sustaining elements...

Lover certainly transcends time and even other people. Especially true love which seems to never die.

so beautiful..they say love is not like a possession..i think it is..
now its not our time, still no one will ever take your place ,i wait
for years and years till..our time will come
i know i was made for you,and you were for me
in past and presnt always thought you were mine and i yours
how sweat love could be if that strong ,just that idea to be
with someone else is so repulsive ..i always imagined love to be this way
it could never be any other way..
lovely write..
