Violence In The Name Of Peace

Violence In The Name Of Peace

A Poem by A.A.Romanczuk
"

Inspired by Your writing, Blues..undoubtedly..

"

Something claws at my heart

As I think of your plight

By the light of the moon

The inconstant moon

Invading my corner of reverie

Blood, War, Turmoil

Death, Woe

Women weeping

Men brought to their knees

Faith destroyed

Hope with its life hanging on a thread

I pull my haphazardly arranged shawl

Closer

This pierces my soul

Your sorrow

All of this Violence in the name of Peace

Chills me

Instead of the frigid wind

I will lift my tear-stained face

To the Beloved face of God

And Pray

And Hope

For those who have lost the Will

To Pray

And to Hope

Oh my friend this is so heartenting write
my heart will never laugh again or could see a light
as you told me of all these people women ,children..even men
how they would cry ,tears of blood at the big loss
loss of everything, riches and hope and all life
life now meant nothing to them, they see no sun
or even no moon for its so dark their night
how my heart bleed for you
you who so young left with none, and you
lost their smiles and will never see the faces
ever again, their eyes were closed before their time
so they passed while some were smiling
but could not end it yet
or laughing now they will never laugh again
they ve known once peace and quiet
now they are in eternal peace and so quiet
their light was shut and off before the rise of the sun
now in utter darkness so deep below
there was once hope and good life only they left it all
they had to leave it all behind for they thought
it was not their right to live..
whom shall i call or cry
where do i turn my face
where do i plea my case
i have no case, its all over now
lovely write..

Certainly ironic, Solitaire-POette...and I have a feeling that it will never be accomplished in this manner...
Thank You :)

Violence and peace are such contradictory words...but they're often used together in all aspects of life....this world has always been at war...all for the sake of peace...and the funny thing is....we've never accomplished this task. Ironic huh?

Keep up the good work.

It's very dark, yet contains pieces of hope at the end. Nice work!
