As Long As These Words Shall LiveA Poem by A.A.RomanczukFading roses weep in her hands Papers of nonsense he wrote Lie worn from re-reading Carnations remember him Weaving them into her sea of hair Hyacinths remember when he left them On her desk She reads the poems that she wrote They could fill a book An ode to Bhavin Strange how she still feels What she felt then Strange how he has not faded With these roses, carnations, hyacinths She still smells his skin full of spices Still feels the touch of his hand Sees so vividly His eyes with autumn gleaming She smiles at her words Eternal His beauty will never fade His sweetness will never be forgotten Not as long as these words shall live
