Awkward Silence

Awkward Silence

A Poem by A.A.Romanczuk

The words lie forgotten on my lips

I will never utter them

What purpose do they serve

If You refuse to understand them

Or accept them silently with no return

I wanted conversation

To feel the yearning of Your soul

For mine

I find

Awkward silence

ah!! the legendary debate - between words and silences - and those spaces in between - which one wins, no ones knows - but i think its those spaces in between that define it - and your poem here - it captures those spaces with perfection and brevity - brilliant!

I am glad You can relate...not because I want You to feel sad..but because I think people should be able to relate to poetry...:) Thank You Vampirelordqman

Oh yes...very wise of You, Ed...we conveniently overlook things and then are hurt...and stand staring wide-eyed..surprised to be hurt..
