The Angel

The Angel

A Poem by A.A.Romanczuk

Like an angel's voice, she heard him speak

Whispering softly on the wings of sweet morning

Whispering out drops of honey

She awoke suddenly

Thinking it was but a dream

Yet there by her side

Lay the angel

Perfectly angelic, but not asleep

Instruments of the heavens flooded her ears

And their hearts set the rhythm and the tone

Together they soared

Like eagles over the mountain tops

High

He lifted her up on the wings of the night

And away

Away they floated into the light
