Mend Me

Mend Me

A Poem by A.A.Romanczuk

To my most loving Father
I lift my soul, blackened by the dishonor
Of too many existences
I raise my heart, tattered
Mend me, Father
Make me to need naught but Your Love
Fill me with Your unflinching serenity
And acceptance for that which
I am powerless to change
Bend my soul towards conversation with You
My heart to devotion bring
I place my weary body in Your hands
Do with me what You will
I will not plead for anything but
Acceptance and knowledge of You
Which alone can stay my pain
Do with me what You will
I cannot walk this path alone
Amen

only death can stay the pain...faith...i suppose...is a medicine of sorts...acceptance of that which one cannot change is indeed wise...personally...i have learned to embrace pain as natural...as...more influential to growth through education than pleasure...which is far more fleeting the older one becomes...and even when pleasure was abundant...it beacame boring...desensitizimg in its repetition...its...saturation...to embrace that which one cannot change...the increasing problematics incurred with time and exposure upon the body and mind...makes it somehow less painful...i sometimes weep when i see someone who knows the joy of a faith that i will never know...but it is nevertheless a most beautiful thing to witness....and here...is a perfect example of what i mean...i will come back and read more of your work...it is indeed phenomenal...

Thank You for sharing this with me...
I too am not saddened by death, feeling that it will give me what I wish for -to be joined with God forever
What You have described..I have known but in part...I did not always have this faith..for a multitude of reasons
But I am sensible of the logic in Your words
I suppose it always depends on ones point of view :)
And as always..I am grateful for Your review and am glad that my work pleases :)
