The Stars Are ExtinguishedA Poem by A.A.Romanczuk
My world is turning gray
One by one, the stars are extinguished Upon the velvet sky In the frigid Chaos..a beacon illuminates a path There you stand A feeling of fragility permeates my psyche I seem to waver in your embrace And you too, are not well Tethers, invisible, slither up this faltering shell And in the darkness bind it The road is long, the road is hard And I am in corner, feeling as if there is no way out But there is, And I will find it Will you? Take of my strength, if you need it My hand lies outstretched towards you My shoulder, yours to take My heart lies opened like a book for you Take of these, take of these, I offer them to you One by one, the stars are extinguished I lie awake praying for Dawn © 2010 A.A.RomanczukFeatured Review
