Peacock

Peacock

A Poem by A.A.Romanczuk

You pry open my pages professing
You've read this novel before
Distant and bored
I am a myriad of women
Rewritten every day
Hold me up to the light
Prism am I
Behold the rainbow sight
I am no fish to be caught
In your omniscient silver net
You will not possess me
Though you claim my hip with your hand
I could not bear to be yours
I am Earth's daughter
Voluminous, blossoming
I am a woman- luminous
The dance of creation swims
In the sway of these too wide hips
For every art
There is a critic
I do not need an offhand sonnet
From an offhand man
To know I am a treasure
You are transparent
A puffed up peacock
Go- I will not bleed.

ohh, magic like never ending..even in these harsh words
no he will never understand you,or the treasure all over you
like a rainbow coming out of glass you shine, like thousand times
and change all time, luminous and dance the like waves of creation
you sway, each move has a beat, like each word shines so bright
i understand you well, for its all just feeling..not all could understand
lovely write..

I would not want to be this man that you deride for his pride and insincere attentions..."I am Earth's daughter

Voluminous, blossoming

I am a woman- luminous

The dance of creation swims

In the sway of these too wide hips

For every art

There is a critic

I do not need an offhand sonnet

From an offhand man

To know I am a treasure

You are transparent

A puffed up peacock"
you truly are stepping out of your shell and proclaiming ..I am Woman ..hear me roar"..bravo!

*Giggles* it is good then he shall not read this poem.
Thank you, sire :)
Such a powerful poem, you speak of much strength: "I am no fish to be caught
In your omniscient silver net" and "You will not possess me
Though you claim my hip with your hand" all lines, are fantastic here though, it flows, like a real out loud spoken piece of pain, but self strength. Thank you for your words dear as always a pleasure to read you :)
