PerfectA Poem by A.A.RomanczukThrough the silence our souls communicate waltzing To the song this lonely season sings of solemn fading Crowned with the glimmering promise of rebirth Oh I could converse with you for centuries Drinking in the peculiar sweetness of your voice Give to me endlessly these wondrous glimpses Into the ocean of your exquisite mind, I am Burned with the desire to know your soul Shiver. Your hand quietly swallows mine. I follow the ripples slithering across the water Timing them by this erratic heartbeat of mine A lone leaf pirouettes gracefully into its watery grave This city ceases to exist, time crumbles into nothingness There is only you and I I laugh and smile at the simplicity of this We converse as if we had known each other for centuries Dare I look into the bright expanse of your peridot eyes? They render me uncommonly shy I listen to the urgency in your heart-beat Kiss. Your rose-petal mouth greets mine. Perfect. Strangely
perfect. The sun succumbs to slumber In the frigid atmosphere, I am warm. © 2012 A.A.RomanczukReviews
